What a Teacher Must Know...

Can we understand the people who need understanding?

Tomorrow will be my second week in my job as a teacher. Teaching is not an easy job. It requires patience, sacrifice and hard work. A teacher must be creative, understanding and patient. It is not enough that you are an intelligent person, to be a teacher, but you must be equipped with patience. A teacher should understand that every individual have different and unique attitudes. We must have patience in understanding and knowing our students' reasons (cause) of an undesirable behavior.

I remember one time when my co-teacher had an activity, she asked the students to write an essay about themselves. Many wrote about their hobbies, past experiences and many more, but there are some who wrote about their feelings of depressions and drug addictions. We were shocked because we never thought- at a young age- that they will be engaged in drug addiction.

School Work Overload

It is back to school time.

I already signed the contract for my job. I started working in the school since last week and this coming week will be the start of the classes. Though the school has not yet started but the school work and school requirements are piled up. I have to be wise in my time to finish all this things before the deadline.

I am a teacher and it is back to school to school time- meaning back to work. Though the work of a teacher is tough and tiring but this is the job that is satisfying and noble job.

Teaching Experiences: Loaded and Lesson Plan Making

Hello friends… happy week end to all of you.

If you’ve been reading in my other blog- my foliage Diary- you’ll definitely know what’s going n in my life. It’s been my econ week in my practice teaching and many of my co-practice teachers were telling me that we are like participants in the best known show “Survivor”. LOL.

Really, you’ll never know what a life of a teacher has, unless you become one…
So here I am today loaded with so much work- checking papers, recording scores, making visual aids and lesson plan. But I always thank God for every way He leads me to go. In this kind of situation He allows me to deal with different people and know there needs. It is about time for me to impart knowledge and show them my faith.

My Dream Profession

All were set. Yeah right, I’m too excited yet nervous for my OJT this summer. This will be on the 13th of April. I have to prepare for my proper attire for my first day on my job training. I’ll be working in a dean’s office. Though we were told to work in a plant or any industrial company but I choose to work in an office. For me this is considered as an opportunity and job training for me. I’ll be working with the teachers and faculty. I’m excited to work in an air-conditioned room with Steelcase Furniture. I cannot imagine how I will look like working in that office. Aside from teaching, working in an office was my dream job- what ever profession it is as long as I’m in the office.LOL.
There are times, when I visit my uncle’s working place, seeing his beautiful Steelcase Furniture in his office, I used to imagine myself working in that kind of setting. Oh, I love it especially when I answer the phone and do some computer works. For me, if I’ll be a teacher soon, I’ll make my bed room just like an office. I’ll set up my office desk, task chair and everything that makes me feels like I’m doing my dream professions.

It looks like I’ve come up with the bright idea.
